Community Guidelines
EFFECTIVE DATE: 8 SEPTEMBER 2026
LAST UPDATED: 8 SEPTEMBER 2026
1. What Explore Is
Explore is the public wall inside Mistly — the looks people have chosen to share. Publishing is optional, and nothing you make appears there unless you put it there.
These Guidelines form part of the Terms of Use. Breaking them can cost you a post, your ability to publish, or your access to the wall.
Everything on Explore disappears 24 hours after it is published — the post, its images and every comment on it. Explore is somewhere to look today, not a place to store anything. Keep your own copy of work that matters to you.
2. What Is Not Allowed
Do not publish, or write in a comment:
- Sexual content. Nudity, sexual acts, or images made to arouse.
- Violence and gore. Injury, blood, cruelty, or content that glorifies harm.
- Self-harm. Anything depicting, instructing or encouraging it.
- Hate. Attacks on people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or serious illness.
- Harassment. Targeting a person, pile-ons, threats, or publishing someone's private information.
- Alcohol, tobacco, drugs, weapons and gambling. Bottles, cigarettes, vaping, cannabis and other drugs, firearms, blades, casinos and betting.
- Impersonation. Passing yourself off as another person, brand or account.
- Spam. Repetition, bulk posting, advertising, engagement bait, links to somewhere else.
- Anyone else's photograph. Publish only images you made and hold the rights to.
- A person who did not agree. If someone is identifiable in your picture, you need their consent before you publish it.
- Minors in any sexualised context. This is never a mistake we treat lightly; it goes to the authorities.
- Anything unlawful where you are or where we are.
3. Generated Images Have an Extra Rule
Every look on Explore is machine-generated, and everyone looking at the wall knows it. That is exactly why the following is not allowed:
- Passing a generated image off as an unedited photograph of a real event.
- Putting a real, identifiable person into a scene, act or statement that did not happen.
- Using a look to defame, deceive, or manufacture something that could be mistaken for evidence.
Transform your own photographs. Do not manufacture other people's reality.
4. Before a Post Goes Up
Every image is screened automatically before anyone else can see it. Google Cloud Vision checks it on two axes: SafeSearch for the sexual and violent material, and label detection for the things SafeSearch has no opinion about — alcohol, tobacco, drugs, weapons, gambling.
The screen fails closed. If it cannot run, the post does not go up. An outage that blocks publishing is an inconvenience; an outage that publishes unscreened photographs to a public wall is a real problem for whoever sees them.
Automatic screening is a filter, not a judge. Something can pass the screen and still break these Guidelines — which is what reporting is for.
5. Reporting, Blocking and Deleting
Report a post or a comment from its menu. Reasons are sexual, violent, hateful, spam, impersonation, or other. Once enough people report something it hides itself automatically, with no one waiting in between.
Block an account and you stop seeing it. Blocking is yours alone: the other person is not told.
Delete your own post at any time. It goes immediately, along with its images and comments, rather than waiting for the 24-hour sweep.
Do not report something you simply disagree with. False reporting is itself a misuse of the wall.
6. What Happens When You Break the Rules
- A reported post is hidden automatically once enough people have reported it.
- A removed post counts as a strike.
- Enough strikes and the account loses Explore for good. It can still use the rest of Mistly — looks, collages and everything on the device — but it cannot publish, comment or appear on the wall again.
- Illegal content is removed and, where the law requires it, reported to the authorities.
We do not publish the exact thresholds. Knowing them would only help someone trying to work around them.
7. Your Profile
Your handle is lowercase letters, numbers and underscores, three to twenty-four characters. It is pseudonymous and stable, so the same person is recognisable across their posts without their real identity being attached to anything.
Your profile photo is held on your device first. A copy reaches our storage only when you sign in and publish. There is a daily limit on avatar changes, which exists to stop automated churn rather than to inconvenience you.
Handles and profile photos are subject to the same rules as posts. An impersonating handle or an unsafe avatar is removed like anything else.
8. Appeals
If something of yours was removed and you believe it should not have been, write to support@mindnullstudio.com. Tell us your handle and roughly when you published, because after 24 hours the post is gone and the handle may be all we can go on.
We read every appeal. We do not promise to agree with every one.
9. Changes
These Guidelines may change as the wall does. Revisions are reflected in the "Last Updated" date above and published at this address.
