Terms of Use
EFFECTIVE DATE: 21 JULY 2026
LAST UPDATED: 11 OCTOBER 2026
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Soundlith mobile application (the "App"), developed by Berkay Atik. By downloading, installing or using the App on iOS or Android, you confirm that you accept these Terms. Before you use the Discover feature for the first time, you will also be asked to accept these Terms expressly on a consent screen in the App (see section 9.2), and the same applies before you create a profile (see section 10.1). How your personal data is processed is explained in the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the App.
2. The Service
Soundlith is an on-device audio player and effects processor. It applies effects — including slowed + reverb, speed adjustment, 8D spatialisation, bass enhancement and equalisation — to the audio files you provide, whether you select them with the file picker, keep them in a folder you link on iOS or in your device's music library on Android, with processing performed locally on your device. You may export the result to your device with the effects applied. Through the optional Discover feature you can also listen, for the current session only, to content shared on the Audius platform under the Open Music License and apply effects to it (see section 9); Discover content cannot be saved, downloaded or exported. Apart from Discover, the App does not supply music. The App does not download music for permanent storage and cannot process DRM-protected content.
You can also create an optional profile, add friends, and share a listening card or a playlist with them (see section 10).
3. Eligibility
Users must be capable of forming a binding contract and must meet the age requirements of the App Store or Google Play in their country. Minors may use the App only with the involvement and agreement of a parent or legal guardian. To create a profile you must be at least 13 years old; if you are under 18 (or the age of majority in your country), you may do so only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
4. Your Content, Your Rights, Your Responsibility
- Full ownership of your audio files remains with you; the Developer claims no rights over them.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring that you hold the rights necessary to use, process and export any audio you load into the App.
- Soundlith is a neutral tool that acts only on your instructions.
- You agree not to use it to infringe intellectual property rights or to violate applicable law.
- Content you play through Discover is not your content; section 9 applies to it instead of this section.
5. Acceptable Use
Prohibited activities include reverse-engineering or decompiling the App; circumventing security features; attempting to bypass purchase verification or the limits placed on free use; creating or distributing infringing material; and commercially exploiting or reselling the App. Attempting to circumvent the restrictions on Discover content set out in section 9.3, and submitting false or abusive reports, are also prohibited. So are: harassing or impersonating other people; sending spam; collecting other users' data; accessing our servers automatically from outside the App; attempting to get around security rules or limits; and creating a new account to evade a suspension or ban.
The support and feedback channel inside the App is for feedback about the App only. Do not use it to send unlawful or abusive content, or personal data belonging to other people.
6. Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal and Purchases
- The free version includes advertising; Soundlith Premium is an auto-renewing subscription (weekly, monthly or three-month terms) that unlocks the full feature set and removes advertising.
- Free trials may be offered on certain plans. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription at the price shown.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless disabled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the renewal charge is taken within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation prevents future renewals; the current period continues; partial refunds are made only where legally required.
- Billing grace period. If a renewal payment cannot be taken, Apple or Google may retry the payment rather than ending the subscription immediately, and your access may remain active during that period. In that case the App will notify you; you can keep your subscription by updating your payment method in your store account settings. The length and application of the grace period are controlled by the store.
- "Remove Ads" is a one-time purchase, not a subscription; it removes advertising but does not unlock Premium features.
- Prices are displayed in your local currency and may change. Payments, refunds and disputes are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms; validation and synchronisation are managed by RevenueCat.
7. Licence and Intellectual Property
The Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control. This licence is subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions or the Google Play Terms of Service. All intellectual property rights in the App, its design and its branding remain with the Developer. The App includes the LAME MP3 encoder (GNU LGPL v2.1, dynamically linked); open-source notices are available within the App.
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses Google Firebase (anonymous authentication; storage of support messages and Discover consent records; and, if you create a profile, sign-in and storage of profiles, friends and shared playlists in Cloud Firestore), Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In (signing in for a profile), RevenueCat (subscription and purchase management), Google AdMob (advertising), Apple or Google (payment processing) and, when you use Discover, the Audius API operated by Tiki Labs, Inc. together with content servers in the Audius network (see section 9). Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and policies; data handling is described in the Privacy Policy. The Developer is not responsible for the acts, omissions or content of third parties.
9. Discover: Audius Content
9.1 The feature. Through the Audius API provided by Tiki Labs, Inc. ("Audius"), the optional "Discover" feature of the App lets you search for and listen to audio content that uploaders have shared on the Audius platform under the Open Music License (the "OML") ("Discover Content"), and apply the App's effects to it. Discover Content is not created, endorsed or owned by the Developer and is not hosted on the Developer's servers. The Developer is not affiliated with Audius and does not act on its behalf; it uses the Audius API under Audius's API Terms. Discover requires an internet connection.
9.2 Consent and consent record. Before you use Discover for the first time, the App shows an information and consent screen. Discover does not open until you tick the box on that screen to confirm that you accept these Terms, the Audius Terms of Use and the OML. Your acceptance is recorded together with the version of the consent text you accepted and the time of acceptance (see Privacy Policy, section 4.5). If we change the terms that apply to Discover materially, we will ask for your consent again before you continue to use Discover. If you do not accept, you cannot use Discover; the rest of the App is not affected.
9.3 Scope of use. You may listen to Discover Content only within the App and only for personal, non-commercial listening. Discover Content is held on your device temporarily, for the current session only, so that it can be played; it is not added to your Library permanently, and the App's save, download, export and recording features are disabled for Discover Content. You agree not to: (a) attempt to circumvent these restrictions, or record, copy or redistribute Discover Content played in the App; (b) play Discover Content for commercial purposes or in public; (c) use Discover Content or data obtained from Audius to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models, or for data mining or automated data collection (scraping); or (d) use Discover for unlawful purposes or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
9.4 Rights and responsibility. All rights in Discover Content belong to their respective rights holders. Under the OML and the Audius Terms of Use, a person who uploads content to Audius represents and warrants that they own it or hold all rights necessary to share it, and is solely responsible for clearing those rights. The Developer does not warrant the licensing status, accuracy or suitability of Discover Content. The Developer uses automated filters to try not to show content that appears to be a copy of someone else's work, a processed version, declared as generated by artificial intelligence, or otherwise not to comply with licensing and copyright terms, but does not guarantee that these filters will catch every item. The Developer may remove any Discover Content, or the content of any uploader, from Discover without prior notice.
9.5 Objectionable content and reports. The Developer has zero tolerance for infringing, unlawful or objectionable content (such as hate speech, harassment or incitement to violence) on Discover and for the accounts that upload it. Tracks carrying an explicit-content (parental advisory) warning are not shown in Discover. You can report a track to us with the "Report this track" option in its ⋯ menu, and hide an uploader's content on your device with "Hide this artist"; a track you report is hidden on your device immediately. We aim to review reports within 24 hours, and we remove content found to be infringing or objectionable — and, where appropriate, all content of the uploading account — from Discover within a reasonable time.
9.6 Rights holders. If you believe that Discover Content infringes your rights, you can: (a) report the track from its ⋯ menu in the App; (b) have the content removed at its source by following Audius's copyright policy and notice process or by writing to dmca@audius.co; or (c) write to support@mindnullstudio.com with the track's title, its Audius link, information about your ownership and contact details at which we can reach you. Because Discover retrieves its lists live from Audius each time, content removed from Audius is no longer listed in Discover. People who upload content to Audius can switch off the use of their content in third-party apps in their Audius settings. False or bad-faith notices may give rise to legal liability.
9.7 Audius documents. By using Discover you agree to comply with the Audius Terms of Use and the Open Music License, to the extent they apply to you, in respect of content you access through the App. The Audius API Terms govern the relationship between the Developer and Audius and are provided for your information as Audius requires; the Audius Privacy Policy explains how Audius processes your data. These two documents are provided for information only; you are not asked to consent to them separately.
9.8 Age. You must be at least 13 years old to use Discover. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority in your country), you may use Discover only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. Discover Content is uploaded by Audius users; although we do not show tracks carrying an explicit-content warning, we cannot guarantee that all content is suitable for every age.
9.9 Availability and liability. Discover depends on Audius's service and on independent infrastructure providers in the Audius network. Discover Content may change, be removed or become unavailable at any time. The Developer may modify, suspend or discontinue Discover at any time without prior notice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for Discover Content, for the acts or omissions of Audius or the infrastructure providers, or for uninterrupted or error-free operation of Discover. The mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence are unaffected.
10. Profiles, Friends and Community Rules
10.1 Acceptance. Before your profile is created, the App asks you to tick a box confirming that you accept these Terms, including the community rules in this section, that you have read the Privacy Policy and that you meet the age requirement in section 3. Your acceptance is recorded (see Privacy Policy, section 4.6.10). Without that acceptance no profile is created; the rest of the App is not affected.
10.2 Account. A profile is optional. You sign in with Apple, or with Google where that option is offered; there is no password.
10.3 Usernames. Usernames are unique. You may not use a username or display name that impersonates another person, a brand, or Soundlith or Mindnull. Some names are reserved. We may change or reclaim a username that breaks these rules.
10.4 Your content. Your display name, username, playlist names, the track titles and Mix names your friends can see, and the reactions you send are your content, and you are responsible for it. Content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent or discriminatory, spam, content that infringes the rights of others, and other people's personal data are not allowed. We apply zero tolerance to such content and to the accounts that post it.
10.5 Licence. You allow us to show this content to other users, solely to operate these features. This licence is non-exclusive, royalty-free and worldwide, and it ends when you delete the content.
10.6 Report, block and the automatic name filter. You can report a profile or a shared playlist and block any user. Display names, usernames and the names of shared playlists that contain inappropriate words are rejected automatically. We aim to review reports within 24 hours. Where content breaks these rules we may remove it, reset the name, or suspend or close the account; repeated violations lead to a permanent ban.
10.7 Requests and reactions. You can turn off incoming friend requests. Using friend requests or reactions to send spam is not allowed.
10.8 Deleting your account. You can delete your account inside the App. What is deleted and what remains is explained in the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or compatibility with every device. Users are responsible for protecting their hearing; high volume levels and heavy bass can cause permanent hearing damage.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from use of the App — including playback interruptions and file loss. You are advised to keep your own backups of any audio files that matter to you. Nothing herein excludes or limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law.
13. Changes to the App and to These Terms
The Developer may modify, update or discontinue the App or its features at any time. Revisions to these Terms are reflected in the "Last Updated" date above and published at this address. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it; if you have a profile, you can also delete your account inside the App (see section 10.8). The Developer may suspend or terminate access in the event of a material breach of these Terms or unlawful use, and may suspend or remove profiles that break the community rules in section 10. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, disclaimers of warranty and limitation of liability — remain in force.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence are unaffected. Nothing herein overrides the mandatory provisions of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions or the Google Play Terms of Service.
