1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Mind Echo: Self Discovery, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
Mind Echo is a mobile application focused on psychological self-discovery. Core services include:
- Psychological Assessment: Self-awareness evaluation through yes/no questions across 5 categories (Career, Relationships, Vision, Mind, Wealth).
- AI Analysis: Personalized psychological analysis reports based on your answers.
- AI Coaching Sessions: Goal-focused personal development plans and action steps.
- Progress Tracking: Tracking development through streaks, scores, and category breakdowns.
- Match (Pairing) Feature: An optional feature reserved for users 18 years of age or older. It connects users with similar psychological profiles for personal-development conversations and includes a 24-hour auto-deleting chat. The Match feature is NOT a dating, romance, or social networking service. See Section 6 for the full rules.
- Premium Features: Unlimited analyses, coaching sessions, and additional tools.
Important Disclaimer: Mind Echo does not provide therapy, psychological counseling, or any medical service. App content is designed solely for personal development and self-awareness and is not a substitute for professional psychological support.
3. Account Creation
You may register using email/password, Google, or Apple.
- Guest mode: You can try the app without registering.
- Local Data Storage: To ensure your privacy, all sensitive psychological data (quiz answers, analyses, coaching sessions) is stored strictly on-device for both Guest and Registered users. Consequently, uninstalling the app or losing your device without an OS-level backup will result in permanent data loss. Registering an account only saves your subscription status and basic analytical metadata to the cloud, not your sensitive content.
- You must not share your account with others.
- You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information.
- Individuals under 13 years of age may not create an account.
- The Match feature is restricted to users 18 years of age or older. By activating Match, you affirm that you are over 18. False declarations are the sole responsibility of the user.
4. Subscription and Payment
4.1 Subscription Plans
Mind Echo Pro is offered with the following subscription options:
- Weekly: 7-day auto-renewing subscription
- Monthly: 30-day auto-renewing subscription
- Yearly: 365-day auto-renewing subscription
Current pricing is displayed on the in-app store screen and may vary by region.
4.2 Auto-Renewal and Billing
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, and the cost of the renewal will be identified. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
4.3 Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Mind Echo → Cancel Subscription
- Or from within the app: Profile → Manage / Cancel Subscription
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for the remaining period.
4.4 Refunds
Subscription payments are processed through the Apple App Store. Refund requests are subject to Apple's refund policies: https://support.apple.com/billing. Mind Echo does not process payments outside of the App Store.
4.5 Restoring Purchases
To restore a previously purchased subscription on a different device: Premium screen → Restore Purchases.
5. Free vs. Premium Features
Free (Guest and Registered): Daily question sessions (limited), basic psychological analysis viewing, progress statistics, notification reminders.
Mind Echo Pro: Unlimited sessions and analyses, AI coaching sessions (all categories), advanced shadow portrait analysis, weekly score history, all explore tools, ad-free experience.
Mind Echo reserves the right to modify the feature set with prior notice.
6. Match (Pairing) Feature Rules
6.1 Optional Feature and Age Limit
The Match feature is fully optional. You can use the rest of the app indefinitely without ever activating Match. The Match feature is restricted to users 18 years of age or older. Before you can use it, you must complete a multi-step consent screen confirming:
- That you are over 18
- That you have read and accepted these Terms of Use
- That you have read and accepted the Privacy Policy
- That you have read and accepted the Community Guidelines
- That you give explicit consent for your category-based analysis scores to be processed for matching purposes
- That you accept Mind Echo's liability disclaimer regarding user-to-user communication
6.2 Nature of the Service
The Match feature is NOT a dating, romance, or social networking service. Its sole purpose is to enable personal-development conversations between users who share similar psychological profiles, as measured by the in-app assessment.
6.3 Profile Information
When you opt in to Match, you choose a display name (or use anonymous mode), select an avatar, and provide your gender. Your five category analysis scores are used to compute compatibility with other users; raw answers and AI analysis text are NEVER shared with other users.
6.4 Chat and Message Retention
Once you and another user accept a match, you can exchange messages in a private one-to-one chat. All chat messages are stored as plain text in Cloud Firestore and are automatically and permanently deleted 24 hours after they are sent, using a Firestore TTL policy. End-to-end encryption is not applied. Mind Echo does not back up, archive, or read chat content other than for moderation purposes when it is reported.
6.5 User-to-User Communication Liability
You are solely responsible for everything you share through chat. Mind Echo does not guarantee the quality, suitability, or safety of any match or any conversation. You should never share telephone numbers, home or work addresses, financial details, identity documents, or other sensitive information through chat. Mind Echo is not liable for any harm, loss, or distress arising from your interactions with other users.
6.6 Prohibited Behaviour Inside Match and Chat
The following behaviour is strictly prohibited inside the Match feature and chat:
- Harassment, threats, insults, intimidation, or bullying
- Sending sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic content
- Hate speech, discrimination, or racism
- Requesting telephone numbers, home/work addresses, financial details, or identity documents
- Spam, advertising, or commercial messages
- Impersonating another person or organisation
- Encouraging, planning, or organising illegal activities
- Creating new accounts to circumvent blocking systems
6.7 Reporting, Blocking, and Moderation
You can block or report another user at any time from the chat menu. When you report a user, the most recent ten (10) messages of the relevant conversation are stored as evidence so a moderator can see the context. Accounts that receive reports from three (3) or more different users may be automatically suspended pending review. Serious violations may result in permanent removal from the Match feature.
In urgent or serious cases (threats, blackmail, harassment, suicidal threats, etc.) please contact your local authorities directly.
6.8 Leaving Match
You can leave the Match feature at any time from Settings → Match → Leave Matching. This hides your profile from other users and stops further matching.
7. User Content & AI Data Processing
Text you enter into the app (goals, coaching text, intentions) belongs to you. We use this content only to provide services to you; we do not share it with third parties.
Match Chat Messages: Messages you send through the Match feature are visible only to you and the other participant of that conversation, and are automatically deleted after 24 hours (see Section 6.4). Mind Echo does not use chat content for advertising, training, or any other purpose.
AI Integration: For AI analysis, your structured data and text content are securely transmitted to a third-party AI service (Google Gemini API) via our secure server-side infrastructure (Firebase Cloud Functions). Direct client-to-API communication is disabled. We enforce strict prompt length limits and authentication checks to prevent abuse. By giving consent within the app, you agree to this data transmission to provide personalized coaching. (See our Privacy Policy for details.)
8. Prohibited Use
You may not use the app for:
- Any illegal activities.
- Creating harmful, threatening, or harassing content.
- Actions that compromise the security of the app.
- Reverse engineering, source code extraction, or copying.
- Unauthorized access to other users' accounts.
- Abusing the AI generation features or attempting to bypass server-side prompt length limits.
- Any of the behaviours listed in Section 6.6 inside the Match feature.
9. Intellectual Property
The app's design, visuals, text, cosmic theme, and all software components are owned by Berkay Atik. Users are granted only a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to use the app.
10. Limitation of Liability
- Mind Echo does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of psychological analysis or coaching content for any particular individual.
- The app is provided "as is." No liability is accepted for direct or indirect damages resulting from service interruptions, technical errors, or unauthorized access.
- Data Loss Disclaimer: Because core psychological and coaching data is stored strictly locally on your device to protect your privacy, Mind Echo is not liable for any data loss resulting from app deletion, device loss, OS-level malfunctions, or failure to perform device backups.
- Mind Echo cannot be held responsible for personal, financial, or health decisions made based on app content.
- Match Feature Disclaimer: Mind Echo does not guarantee the quality, suitability, or safety of any match. Mind Echo is not responsible for the content of messages exchanged between users, nor for any harm arising from those interactions.
11. Modification or Termination of Service
Mind Echo reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the app or its features with prior notice. If the service is terminated while a subscription is active, a refund for the remaining period will be considered.
12. Account Suspension
In the event of a violation of these Terms — including the Match feature rules in Section 6 — your account may be suspended or deleted without prior warning. Where automatic moderation triggers a suspension (for example, three or more independent reports against your Match profile), you may contact us at berkayatik123@gmail.com to request a review.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Disputes shall be resolved in Istanbul courts.
For EU/EEA users: Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable EU consumer protection or data protection laws.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified within the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
